Fan pictures with words
I was fooling around on the computer tonight and made these fan pictures with words.
I started with the one with Michael from the Far Away video because somehow I still want to get that image on a T-shirt. So I was trying to see if I could make a 'sketch' of the idea in my head. I uploaded the picture to Flickr and used the Picnik software there to create the text. This turned out nicely so I made the other two as well. Feel free to share! I think they could make cool/inspirational e-cards

These are neat, Maarten.
I think my favorite is the Song of Life picture.
I could easily see that as a postcard.

My favourite is the one with Cassius, and the lyrics quoted from "Lullabye".

Wow those are awesome!!! New desktop background rotation incoming. For putting them on a tshirt btw, you can use cafepress.com It's free to create designs but their shirts are a little expensive since they're printed on demand. Not too bad though. I may have to print them out to use to decorate my notebooks for school or something.

Yeah, I got too much time on my hands...
I also have the Song of Life ones & the Lacrymosa one (You are the words etc) in bigger format, let me know if you are interested (I only post the medium sized ones here because I don't want to clutter the forum with huge pictures, and bigger ones won't fit anyway )

The other picture that just drew my attention was the one of Ben as a soldier, again with the words from "Lullabye". A very poignant message is being conveyed with this illustration. A young soldier going off to war, and neither he nor his family know whether or not he will safely return. The message also speaks to families who may have lost a loved one in battle - in a way, reassuring them that despite their grief, the memory of one who was lost will remain forever in their hearts.

Interesting point of view. The picture with this quote also means a lot to me but for very different reasons. To me the picture is saying: even though you find peace in your heart and want to live in peace with the world, there will always be a part of that 'soldier' in you. It is best to make peace with that inner 'soldier/fighter'. A reminder that, even though we may leave that part of ourselves behind us, it stays with us, too.labbie wrote:The other picture that just drew my attention was the one of Ben as a soldier, again with the words from "Lullabye". The picture in Lead Kindly Light in beautiful. I also love the fond you used.
Lead, kindly light amid the circling gloom.
Lead thou me on.
The night is dark and I am far from home.
Lead thou me on.
The night is dark and I am far from home.

Sheesh you guys, these are all so brilliant. I've been saving them all and have them set as my desktop background (changing every so often).
