Camera Angles?

Hey, guys,
I was just watching the When Will I Be Famous version of Sanctus and Salva Me, and I noticed that there was a point in the video where the camera went behind the boys in a semicircle. Why do camera operators do this? I have seen it on other videos of contest sows like this as well. Any ideas?

Probably just to give a different angle for the viewers. It was the director's idea. He or she said " camera 4, go behind the boys and pan across the semi circle".

As TEB said, it is to give a different angle for viewers. And it shows the whole hall and people in hall too for viewer.

I'ts a normal thing in TV shows now.
