This may be of interest to Libera fans in the UK: tomorrow evening (6 Jan) at 1950, BBC 4 is showing a repeat of Top of the Pops from 3 January 1985. According to the programme info, this is the episode that featured Sal Solo singing "San Damiano", backed by a certain London choir. The performance itself is on YouTube and most here will have seen it before, but it'll be nice to see it in its original context.

Thanks, I watched it out of curiosity. I was a bit too young in 1985 to be watching TOTP, but I certainly remember the song. Remarkable that they have the recording saved in quite decent quality from that time.

The song was an awful derge but the video...what were they thinking! I guess they were different times back then for sure.

It goes without saying that the quality of the recording would be way below current standards. IIRC standard basic TV of the 1980's was the equivalent of 240p or 360p today. The staging and choreography in those days... well, I think you've seen some of St. Phillips / Angel Voices early attempts at choreography - the strange stepping movements, etc.
