I heard the turn-out at the O2 was 4,000.
Is anyone else going to the Cheltenham Music Festival? There's a concert by the combined Tewkesbury and Gloucester choirs at Tewkesbury Abbey next Saturday.

Oh damn; somebody else to fight for the row B seats with. Sorry but I can't make it on Saturday.

Good news for fans of Jackie Evancho, who sang at the final: her debut album (non-seasonal) is out now:

Includes some well-known pieces and some I don't know and even one written by Jackie herself (the last song, title track Dream With Me) although it says "written in collaboration with Linda Thompson".

#cough, cough#

~Yorkie clears throat~

Some enchanted evening
You may see a stranger,
you may see a stranger
Across a crowded room
And somehow you know,
You know even then
That somewhere you'll see her
Again and again.

Yes, She's back. What will this seasons BGT bring for us to savour?

Starts 8:00 pm this Saturday night; will you be watching?

A promising start then.

On BBC tonight there is a new singing show 'The Voice' - I think it started in Ireland last year. If it looks decent I might start a thread for that too.

Only Boys Aloud were on Songs of Praise recently. They're a spin-off of Only Men Aloud who won Last Choir Standing a few years back.

A really nice bunch of lads though I don't think they need BGT.

Thanks, Yorkie. I don't understand what the Welsh choir was singing, but I absolutely loved it! Almost made me cry a bit. Haha...

The song is called Calon Lân, which is Welsh for "pure heart". It's a famous song for Welsh people and considered to be a hymn although technically it isn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calon_L%C3%A2n" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's nice - Libera learns a song in Tagalog and teaches the world what they've learned, and we as fans come to this forum and listen to Only Boys Aloud who teach us a bit of Welsh :D

(Odd bit of trivia: the writer of the words of Calon Lân died on the date of my birthday)

Thanks for the Wiki link, Maartendas. :) It's nice to read the English translation. Makes me like their performance even more. :)
