Libera could be featuring again on Mark McKenzie's latest soundtrack...

From his website....
Next up: an inspiring animated film called MAX AND ME about a troubled young teenage boy who has lost both parents in a car accident and befriends an old man who shares an inspiring story of polish priest Maximillian Kolbe and life in Auschwitz during the Holocaust. Recording at Abbey Road with choir, orchestra, and the famed Libera Boys choir; this one will be inspiring!

....Max & Me is expected to be released in 2016. Something to keep an eye on! :)

Good find Jimmy - I very much enjoyed Mark McKenzie's last film score with Libera (but the film was less than inspiring unfortunately). I notice this is also an animation...

Thank you Jimmy, it sounds promising ! :D
Let's hope Libera will sing on a marvellous track like 'Benedictus Deus' in the Greatest Miracle.

A site says :
"Max & Me is an inspirational and faith friendly film that will have its premiere in Krakow during World Youth Day, 2016 in Krakow, Poland.
All connected plan to have the Pope give the blessing for the children and dreamers of the world.
The last 2 of these events in Brazil and Spain had nearly 4 million attendees.
"

The World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow are from the 25 to the 31of July.

They did the same four years ago, with the Greatest Miracle doing its debuts at the World Youth Day in Madrid in August 2011

Cool, I did not know that about the connection between Mark McKenzie's films and World Youth Day.
The animation picture shown doesn't look promising to me though :( but I hope the message of the life of Maximilian Kolbe* is done justice anyway and it's great to see Libera participating in it.

(*Maximilian Kolbe was a Franciscan who became a prisoner in Auschwitz. He volunteered to take the place of a fellow prisoner who was going to be executed and so saved that fellow prisoner's life by giving his own)

As of March 1st, the soundtrack is due to be released "in the last half of 2016". So July-December.
Also, Mr. McKenzie managed to snag violinist Joshua Bell for the album--not an easy task, as he's rather in-demand.

So I take it there will be some violin solos?

It said that Bell recorded three themes, so probably. :-)

Libera backed by Joshua Bell would be fantastic.

Maybe throw in YoYo Ma for good luck.

Mark McKenzie says on his facebook :
"The upcoming Sony Classical release of "Max and Me" with Joshua Bell, choir, orchestra, and boys choir has been delayed till 2017"

And also that there's: "a couple hints of the score hidden at http://www.markmckenzie.org".

See:

The couple of hits are two short excerpts that can be found at the bottom of this page :

- "Max Travels To China"
- "Heaven's Welcome"

Well, what a shame that its been delayed. The excerpts sound lovely, though.

I came upon this video for Dos Corazones Films. They are the producers of both The Greatest Miracle and the upcoming Max & Me. You can get a little glimpse of what Max & Me will be like.

You can hear Libera from about :35 to 1:10. And then The Greatest Miracle is at 2:55, and Max & Me is at 3:20.

From the looks of things, Dos Corazones will continue to make films, and if Mark McKenzie scores another one, I would hope Libera would be considered again for the soundtrack.

No snippets yet to listen to apart from those revealed previously by FDL but the soundtrack is so far scheduled to be released in October this year.
