Thank God, I thought it was just me  Perhaps it reflects on the tastes of the Japanese rather than Europeans???
Yes, it might be...

Remember this other cover with same kind of colours ?

I would think that this compilation would serve to attract newer listeners. The newer songs, the Nutcracker excerpt, and the Japanese artist's instrumental rendition of "La Califfa" only feature background vocals without lyrics. As is the case with the CD that will be released on Amazon and other sources later this month, most longtime fans, myself included, already have CDs featuring these songs. These newer CDs may serve well as gifts to those who like choral music, but have never heard of Libera. I hope that these possibilities generate a reasonable number of sales for the CDs.

Pity there's not more new material.

Maybe EMI have a excess stock of blank CD's to press, that's all they seem to be good for at the moment. They have not given much financial support to Libera over the years outside of Japan. Most of the PR has been online - a few mini-sites, behind-the-scene's & video shoots. Still, the 'under new management' sign is about to be hoisted in the shop window, so let's see what the future brings.
