I have seen on many blogs that "War Horse" scores (from John Williams) was often said as one of the most appreciated film scores, but often also the Greatest Miracle is also told, like here :)

The Oscars 2012 nominations will be revealed very soon now, the show is at 08:30 USA East Time, which is 13:30 London time if I'm not mistaking :)

In a little more than one hour we will now the list of four (five ?) nominated for the Best Original Score.

For reminder : Mark McKenzie's work for The greatest Miracle is in the list of 97 (!) films from which the final selection will be made. The chances to be selected are weak, but who knows....

Apparently the nomination ceremony can be seen live here :

But I'm currently at my work, I can't check if the stream is worldwide reachable, or if it's USA only restricted.

Sadly you are correct FDL - the academy has gone with the big hitters as expected - http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawa ... inees.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Shame, it's a clear winner in my oppinion, but probably hampered by the restricted appeal and dated animation of the movie itself.

arfff.... too bad... :?

You are right Jimmy, probably despite the greatness of the score, the film was penalized by the animation quality... :|

Oh, that IS too bad. :( Seemed like Mark McKenzie had a really good chance, too. His score sounded even better in a theater.

No winning for the Greatest Miracle :?

John Williams won the two categories where The Greatest Miracle was in competition.
Film Score of the Year went to War Horse and Best Score for an Animated Film went to The Adventures of Tintin.

The Greatest Miracle voted No1 film score by Movie Music UK and Cinematic Sound Radio Show based in Ontario, Canda. Libera get played during the Part III segment (41:22). All 3 parts are a good listen though, you can hear the other top film scores of 2011.
