Cool ears BrightEyes
All the better to hear Libera with, Murkskis
Yes well I have an avatar now, which some of you may know is from the cover of "Watership Down", my favorite book of all time!!
So the song "Bright Eyes" on Angel Voices 2 is adapted from a song that Art Garfunkel sung in the animated film "Watership Down" that came out in 1978.
St. Philips Boys Choir version was immensely better than Art Garfunkle's.
So for those of you who have not read Watership Down, stop what you are doing... right now, and go read it! And then go listen to Libera while you write me a book report!
Oh, that's the source ! Now I know
I remember the rabbits were also mentioned on 'The Wind in the Willows' (Kenneth Grahame)- the first book I read when I was 7
Sorry, it's a bit off-topic:
I have to admit that I spend far more time listening to music than reading these days.
BTW, one of the last books I read was 'The Glass Bead Game' (by Hermann Hesse; German writer and poet). Like the short description of his works by Wikipedia "explores an individual's search for authenticity, self-knowledge and spirituality". IMO It gives some insight about life in monasteries and talks about searches, searches and searches again. Ah, a lot of philosophy. But i like it.
Music is also discussed there at some point but unfortunately not a single word about Libera. (probably because it was written before Libera was born
)
