Favourite soloists, by Album
I know there have been a lot of similar topics to this, but I thought I would make this one a little different. Since soloists come and go, pick your favourite soloist from each Album. Angel Voices - Oliver Putland Angel Voices 1 - Liam O'Kane Angel Voices 2 - Liam O'Kane Libera - Liam O'Kane Lumino...

No work for 2 weeks
As from today I am off work for 2 weeks, like so many places they have closed. It may last longer than two weeks, I guess I will find out in due course. Still, it gives me a change to go out and do some serious photography, and with the streets practically empty it should make for some interesting p...

Re: Girls vs. Boys voices
I can sometimes tell the difference between boys and girls voices. That said, I never would have guessed Mark Lester's parts in "Oliver" were sung by a girl (apparently, he is tone deaf) But now you know that his singing voice was dubbed by a 19 y.o. woman it sticks out like sore thumb do...

Do you have EVERY album and DVD?
I don't, maybe I should support them more but I only have 2 of the DVD's, the 3 Angel voices CD's they did as St Phillips, and 12 they released as Libera. The only albums I tend not to buy are the Christmas Album's, although I did buy the one recorded in Ireland (That is actually the only Christmas ...

"Off topic" forum
I was thinking that it would be nice to have an off topic forum just for general discussion of non-Libera related things as is common with a lot of forums.

Furthest you have travelled
I'm just curious how far people have travelled to see Libera. I know people cross continents, I on the other hand can't usually afford to travel that far. The furthest I have travelled is from Plymouth to London's south bank. I am hoping that one day Libera will visit the west country again, as they...

Re: Libera Members
That is a pity, its a shame when any member of Libera leaves. I am sure they had their reasons though. I was devastated when Tom and Josh left, but now we have some more great soloists, eventually they will leave too and so it will go on for as long as Libera exists which I hope is for a very long t...

Re: Favourite PART of a Libera Song
I'm currently coming towards the end of a 'Three Ravens' binge, the song is great (perhaps a little dreary for my usual taste), but the extended high note at the climax (~4:00) is simply addictive. I remember the first time I heard Three Ravens, I stuck it on repeat play for about an hour, it may h...

Re: Perfect Pitch
Yes I saw that video a while ago, very impressive. Makes me wonder if there are cases where perfect pitch just comes naturally, or if it can only be learned by exposure to music from an early age.

Perfect Pitch
I was reading an old post discussing the vocal range of Libera's songs and one post got me thinking about perfect pitch. For those not musically trained, perfect pitch is the ability to identify any note, chord (group of notes) or interval (difference between two notes) without any reference. I have...

Re: Favourite PART of a Libera Song
I love Tom's solo in "Rest In Peace" They key change adds a nice touch too. The instrumental climax between the second and third verse of "Three Ravens" The counter-melody in "Prayer" Very nicely arranged I cant remember who sung the solo parts on Angus Dei on the album...

Re: Libera lyrics - what floats your boat?
Different lines but from the same song mentioned by OP. "By darkening lights I wandered through Thickets trembling with drops of dew" "But the music is lost and the words are gone Of the song I sang as I sat along" Just love those lyrics :D And from Rest in Peace "Lord give ...

Re: Facebook warning by Libera
I wont go near facebook, they are just out to make money out of your personal data, and if I want to find out what my friends are doing, I ask them, most of them will tell me when I see them anyway. Its not that I'm a technophobe, far from it, it is my knowledge of how sites such as facebook work th...
