Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
I was so surprised and excited when I got through on the 'phone rather than the website and was told I had 2 x front row seats that I totally forgot to ask which seat numbers I'd purchased . I'll have to wait and see what the postman delivers! I'm quite surprised to see as I write this that th...

Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
As I posted earlier, I had a bad feeling about the website and the timing of the either the online or 'phone box office going live. I had decided that the reasons I never managed to get the best seats in the past is due to my relatively slow internet connect, coupled with relatively slow rather matu...

Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
If you click on "events" from the Cathedral homepage, the concert shows in the list of events. Click on "read more" and you will get the link to the Box Office. I guess that's where you are looking, and as far as I can see it isn't listed anywhere there however you search for it....

Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
There was a warning on the Cathedral website yesterday stating that they were having problems with Firefox and Chrome browsers when making payments. They were working to resolve this with Yes-Pay. They were advising using Internet Explorer (no mention of "Edge"). The warning appears to hav...

Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
... and so the confusion begins - the Ely Cathedral website (still) states 09:30 for 'phone and website booking
Edited to add: There has now been a correction on the official Libera site - tickets on sale 09:30

Re: Ely Cathedral 29th April 2017
Their website in general and the ticket purchasing procedure in particular seems to be a nightmare to negotiate :( . The few events I've clicked through don't show specific seating either - just areas in general. I hope thing get a little more specific before Monday. I don't want to go back the old ...

Re: Language Packs.
Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) would be a welcome addition in this household :) . My Wife is Chinese born and English is (still) very much a second language to her. She is an ardent Libera fan, as much as I am, so she would love being able to use her native language. A very much minority request I su...

Re: Name five musical pieces which you would like Robert
There appear to be a number of translations from the Gaelic. Google has plenty of information: Athair ar Neamh - Father in Heaven Version 1: Father in Heaven, God bless us Father in Heaven, God bless me My soul, my heart, my glory, praise to you, God. Long is the peaceful day Long is the night witho...

Re: London Concert - 2nd December 2106
...new technology for the director... I was wondering if this was in fact by choice? I noted Robert walked towards his music stand, looked surprised that his music was not in place, turned and walked away. He then returned with the "new technology" - a backup to the old hardcopy perhaps? ...

Re: London Concert - 2nd December 2106
Perhaps at some point, presumably at the start of the intermission, there is going to be a charity appeal of some sort as there has been in the past from https://www.compassionuk.org/. This would obviously(?) be added to the audience time to ensure enough time for a reasonable break.

Re: Les Petite Chanteurs in DALIAN, SOUTH-CHINA
Dalian is a city suffering from a split personality. It can't seem to make its mind up whether it is a heavy industry shipping port or a holiday destination. Walk along the seafront and you'll find an eclectic mix of people and goods. There are some impressive high rise residential buildings as well...
