Thanks. I will. Actually, I'll be seeing Billy two nights in a row. Hopefully it'll give me a chance to see the two Billys I haven't seen yet (although I wouldn't mind seeing Trent Kowalik again. He was great.)

I agree. In fact I'm going back to NYC next week to see it twice more. I'll also be seeing Wicked while I'm there.

Yeah, I'll probably get it too but I have to admit I really dislike 'live' performances on CD. I find the applause, etc distracting and annoying.

That's great. Hopefully it'll still be around next year. I've had to postpone my trip until then. But if it's being sold out that's a good sign! Thanks for filling us in.

I agree! Many other countries have their choral groups as well, but Britain is way ahead of the others in quality and endurance. It is timeless music and will outlast any other because it has proven itself for centuries. Much of our cultural pop music is just fad and it will pass in time. (Some has ...

Yeah, I don't know where that mentality comes from. Nowadays if people threaten to cut arts programs in the schools there will be a concern, but God forbid you should even mention anything about cutting funds to sports programs! I think it is a reflection on our competitive nature as human beings.

Well, I know what I enjoy and I truly enjoy Libera, regardless of what others think. Aside from the music teacher in the school where I teach, everyone I have shared with have all responded from luke-warm to not interested in the boys. Unfortunately, the mentality of many of today's so called 'music...

I've just recently watched a couple different versions of "The Prince and The Pauper" and they were both quite good, especially the early 30's version with Errol Flynn and Claude Rains. I'd love to see a theatrical remake of the movie like was done with "Oliver Twist" a few years...

Yeah, and June-August it's well over $1000! Guess I'll save for another year.

That's great! I wish I could see it. I was hoping to go to London over the summer and see it while there buty unfortunately these unconscionable airlines doubled the air fare during the summer months so it's likely out of the question right now. Oh well, hopefully it'll come to Broadway at som epoint.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately I'm tied into the summer for any extended vacations, being a teacher. Hopefully the good rates will continue. But if I book soon hopefully that will make a difference. The Tour rates are pretty much locked in, but the air rates could be good!

Thanks again!

I've been reading and watching more of the classics lately and was researching The Prince and the Pauper . I came across an off-Broadway recording of a musical version of The Prince and the Pauper . It was out a few years ago (around 2001 or so) but is no longer playing. Some of the songs are pretty...

Thanks Jude and kthomp! I'd love to see the concert but I'll likely be there in mid-July if I go. It is tempting though! I was lucky enough to see them when they came to the US a few months ago and it was without a doubt the best concert I've ever attended. I would love to see them again. I apprecia...

Traveling England

I'm contemplating the idea of taking a trip to England in July. (I live in the US-upstate NY.) The travel agencies I'm looking at offer guided bus tours to many places. However, there are a couple of days 'on my own' in London. Is London relatively easy to get around? I'd like to see a couple of sho...
