Appears to be a rendition of "Dies Irae"; a mixture of the lines found here - I'm not sure if there's a published version of the song Libera is singing, but the lyrics are:

Dies irae, dies illa,
Solvet saeclum in favilla,
Cum resurget creatura,
Judex est ventur(us?).

06:03 - ? Great list, very useful! The lyrics at 6:03 appear to be; "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!". I managed to find a longer excerpt online from another choir: https://youtu.be/GrnIvGLiY2A?t=27 Not sure if there's any more to this piece. Title...

I'm sure it's very fresh in most everyone's minds, but the building part of 'Total Praise':

Re: Recommend me a Libera album

In lieu of recommendations, you could check out Libera tracks on Youtube if you haven't already considered it: https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialLibera/playlists As seen above, their songs are nicely sorted by album, or if you wanted to sample individual songs, the description usually says which ...

Re: Which are your most touching Libera songs?

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep - Death is something that profoundly impacts all of us.. I really love the sentiment behind this piece, it helps me deal with the worries of losing loved ones, and lines up with how I feel death should be dealt with; to remember someone's lasting impact on the live...

Might simply be a mistype but just in case, 'second to none' actually implies it's the very best!

Re: Which Libera songs comfort you in the most complete way?

Very interesting question indeed, and a great excuse to go through my Libera Library with a fresh view!

The first that came to mind is TDL's Ave Maria; without a doubt my favorite song, everything's right in the world when listening to it.

Vespera is another that stands out for me.

Re: Libera on 'Creative World', a Los Angeles TV show

Rather interesting episode of 'Creative World' this week. During Ep.16 we talk with Takatsugu Muramatsu, a famous Japanese composer, who we learn has had a few collaborations with Libera over the years. One of these (familiar) pieces is showcased in part 2. Pt. 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI1...

No doubt it's incredible what they've achieved fame wise.. but they're far closer to a pop group than anything else in my eyes! Not a fan...

Purely as a hypothetical, I wonder how popular 'Libera' might be if they sang such a repertoire.

Exciting to be able to take part in the 'concert reviews' with this online viewing! Lovely reads all. There's not a great deal I could add, so I will focus on more general aspects of the concert. Production : Impressive sound quality and I was pleasantly surprised by the multiple camera angles. The ...

Oh boy, I had a feeling that might turn out to be the case, no easy solution after all! Very similar facial features indeed. I am hesitant to say any more after such a critical blow to my reputation  though the Early 1992 picture I'd still peg as Gary Francis due to the distinct hair parting. ...
