Re: St John's Smith SQ Christmas Concert 2020 (Dec 6)
Libera is listed on the Viking Cruises web site as one of their 23 “cultural partners”. I’m not sure what that means in terms of ongoing financial benefit for Libera but there was a post on the forum a few years back saying that Libera sang at the 2016 christening of the "Viking Sea" and t...

Re: Re:
As for Stay With Me, personally I think of this now as Oliver M's song, even though I once heard it by Daniel F who really shone on it. It will be difficult to get used to a new soloist. The same goes for Ralph and The Fountain, for me anyway.
I don't remember hearing Daniel F do t...

Re: Libera at Songs of Praise 'Big Sing' 2017
Thanks from me too. Jimmy. Following the Libera performance on the Big Sing, the choir sung a medley of "favourite English hymns" that included Jerusalem. I was thinking as I listened that it must be ten years now since Libera performed this song - the mini-Ben version - and how great it w...

Re: Libera at Songs of Praise 'Big Sing' 2017
Libera was the first guest performer. A beautiful rendition of From A Distance which unfortunately I could not record on my android box.
Hopefully someone else was able to record it since I would love to see it a few times more.

Re: Libera Concert in China (2017)
I won't upload them here or provide links to them but if you act quickly (before they are probably taken down), someone has uploaded excellent quality videos of the Libera and The Moon Represents My Heart performances from the Shanghai concert on YouTube. Beautifully done!

Re: What would be your best concert set list ?
Having listened to Hope a few times now, I also thought it was time to update my best concert set list posted two years ago. I had to make room for five new songs from Hope. In no particular order and again omitting Christmas songs, here's my list of 20 songs for 2017: 1. Joyful Joyful 2. Far Away 3...

Re: New album is called Hope
Julie Gold, who wrote “From A Distance”, has said that she “only set out to write a decent song about the difference between the way things seem and the way things are”. Although this song is secular, one might easily give it a Christian meaning and it has even been covered by some contemporary Chri...

Re: "Angel" (Isaac) or: Thoughts about song releases and releasing practice
Vince, an instrument-builder, organ-repairman, and sound engineer who has had a lot of experience with bats and belfries, says that the bats wouldn't have responded to the high notes, but more probably to the warmth arising from the stage lighting and full audience. Since bats “see” by using ultras...

A beautiful rendition of "Smile". It can't help but make you smile!
I hope (some of) you enjoy it live tonight and I look forward to reading the concert reviews.

Re: The Great Miracle Soundtrack by Mark McKenzie with Libera!!
I was able to listen with a little help from my VPN. It truly does lift your spirits especially when you wake up and see that there has been an overnight snowfall in April. Looking forward to the new cd (and Spring)! Glad you could play it and enjoy it. You shouldn't need a VPN though to listen to ...

Re: New album is called Hope
Some new songs have been announced  - thanks to the fans on Twitter *From a Distance *San Damiano *Salve Regina *Stabat Mater Just googled From a Distance and I have to admit I'm becoming alarmed at some of these song choices. If it's the Bette Midler Song I don't know how they can turn th...

Mark Twain is credited with saying, "I have attended operas, whenever I could not help it, for fourteen years now; I am sure I know of no agony comparable to the listening to an unfamiliar opera... that sort of intense but incoherent noise which always so reminds me of the time the orphan asylu...
