I believe the opening for Sacris Solemnis is done by Freddie M, and Luca does the long notes.
Sing Forever verse 1 starts with Joseph Hill, then he is followed by Nathan Slater. Verse 2 begins with Nathan and is followed by Joseph. I believe Luca does the supporting high notes during the solos.

Re: 2023 US Tour
Thank you Surpinto and Mercurial for your kind words, I do hope that the review is nice for those who couldn't attend concerts! I wanted to add an interesting observation... in God Only Knows, the boy sang the words " God only knows what I'll be without you". The switch from "I'd"...

Re: 2023 US Tour
Here is Part 2! Apologies for the late posting. Lux Aeterna The chant is stunning. The second and third trebles get a chance to shine, as do the low voices. In the DC concert, the boys filed past us, walking in two rows towards the stage. I particularly enjoyed getting to hear each of the individual...

Re: 2023 US Tour
Here is Part 1 of my review! Notes: I attended both the DC and New York concerts, and was so happy to be back after four years of not having attended any! The musical quality was so good throughout, all the boys did an amazing job. The first venue, the Basilica, had an incredible acoustic where the ...

Re: 2023 US Tour
I will be posting a full concert review soon, but before I do so, I will post my (very detailed.. sorry!) thoughts on the encore! Mitchel's singing on Smile during this tour has become my favorite Libera performance of all time. Mitchel sang with so much vulnerability, it almost felt like his singin...

Re: Kizuna - Forever
Hearing Joseph Hill's voice so far makes me think his voice may be well suited for the style of singing associated with West End/Broadway. I'm not saying he can't do well with Classical singing, but there is a particular quality to his voice which makes me think he could be even better at the other...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
I'll post some initial thoughts on the new samples on the website! Beati Quorum is light and breezy, just like God Only Knows. I enjoy them both because they sound so innocent and suit childrens' voices so well. I do agree it gets very busy, but I think it's interesting and fun to listen. Ave Verum ...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
Let's start a "guess the soloist" game for the new sample tracks. I have not seen any of the recent concerts, so please correct me if you recognize any of these soloists! Beati Quorum: No soloists shown in the sample, but likely Nathan and Pietro God Only Knows: Daniel, Luca, Victor Far Aw...

Re: Libera Mini Concert
Thanks for your kind words, I'm really glad you enjoyed reading my review!!! On "Ave Maria" I agree with you that TDL's solo from the 2015 DVD is hard (impossible?) to match; but I think that Tadhg's phrasing is not a struggle per se but is just how he is. His speaking voice has the same p...

Re: Libera Mini Concert
Get ready for a lengthy and very detailed review! Speeches: These were so nice, I loved Koji's piano with a picture of Taichi and Koji as a baby. When Victor mentioned being told not to drop the record because it would crack, you can hear an adult laughing behind the camera (I bet it was the same pe...

Re: Christmas Concert 2019, Tuesday, 3rd December, London
Sempiterna Intro This was a huge surprise and I was so happy to see Alessandro on stage at age 17! I’m not sure anything like this has been done before. All the lower voices sang in unison. They all sing with such lightness, and really brought out the soothing and vibrant qualities of the cambiata ...

Re: Christmas Concert 2019, Tuesday, 3rd December, London
I'm also very happy with your observation of Laurence D. I also had the feeling he 'shone' more on stage than he did before. He has an engaged expression while singing that sometimes caught my eye and it's nice to hear from you the way he has developed his technique and style of singing. It's wonde...

Re: Christmas Concert 2019, Tuesday, 3rd December, London
General comments: This was my best concert by far because of the sound quality at the venue. I could hear individual voices while also hearing the blend. The singing itself was technically well done, and all of the boys had a good night. Every single one of the songs was up to par. Do You Hear What...

Re: 2019 US Summer Tour
Tonight, though the soloists were spectacular, it was the choir as a whole that wowed me the most. Perhaps it was the cathedral itself that contributed to their blend. But considering the acoustic blending manufactured by the sound professionals, It seems it is the boys themselves who were able to ...

Re: 2019 US Summer Tour
No, I was surprised too. But if I am not mistaken, I think that in the last few years we have seen far more solos on songs than in the past. I get the impression that more songs were sung as a whole choir and duets were used more as well. I may be wrong about that, but others have also remarked abo...
